Johnson Brothers today announced that it has signed an agreement to purchase Service Distributing, Inc., one of the leading wine distributors in Virginia. Founded in 1961, Service Distributing, Inc. is a family-owned and operated company whose impressive portfolio consists of a wide variety of wine and beer brands.

“This acquisition continues to grow our geographic footprint across the country. Over the past few years, we have made strategic acquisitions in North Carolina, Indiana, and West Virginia. With this latest acquisition, we will significantly expand our presence in the Mid-Atlantic region,” said Michael Johnson, Chairman & Co-Owner. “We are excited to add Virginia, and Service Distributing’s dedicated and talented team members, to our organization.”

The acquisition is expected to close in the Spring, subject to customary closing conditions.
