Our History

Founded in 1953 with a rented truck and a converted roller-skating rink for a warehouse, Johnson Brothers began with 24-year-old Lynn Johnson’s dedication to hard work and exceptional service. From taking orders by day to making deliveries himself at night, his commitment laid the foundation for one of the nation’s top beverage distributors.

Expanding beyond spirits, Johnson Brothers became an early leader in wine distribution, grew iconic beer brands like Hamm’s in the 1960s, and continues to represent top-selling beers and premium non-alcoholic beverages today.

Still family-owned, we operate in 20 states with over 5,000 team members, delivering world-class service while embracing innovation, sustainability, and excellence.
