Johnson Brothers opened in Iowa in 1985 when the state privatized wine wholesale and retail sales. Starting with a staff of 15 working in the Des Moines Golden Circle, Johnson Brothers has grown steadily, acquiring 13 companies, expanding and relocating operations three times, and currently employing more than 200 team members.

Meet Matt Moore
Matt Moore is the General Manager of Johnson Brothers of Iowa, where he oversees the company’s operations and continued growth across the state, including the Miller/Coors beer operation in Northwest Iowa. Matt joined Johnson Brothers in 2017 as a Sales Consultant and has since advanced through several leadership roles including District Manager, On-Premise Sales Manager, Division Manager, General Sales Manager, and Director of Trade Development. He brings more than 20 years of beverage industry experience to his role, including previous positions with Hy-Vee Food Stores and Doll Distributing.
