Lyle Stutzman To Retire from Johnson Brothers of Iowa after 36 Years – Brian Grant Promoted to GM

St. Paul, Minn. – December 27, 2021 – After a distinguished 36 year career, Lyle Stutzman will be retiring as President of Johnson Brothers of Iowa at the end of 2021. Lyle began with Johnson Brothers in 1985 as a Sales Manager and was quickly promoted to General Manager in 1987. Under his leadership, the company grew to become the state’s largest wine, beer, and spirits distributor. In addition, he developed one of the top sales and operations teams in the industry, while serving as a mentor and leader who exemplified the Johnson Brothers values.

With Stutzman’s retirement, Brian Grant has been promoted to General Manager of Johnson Brothers of Iowa and brings significant experience to the role. Grant started his career with Johnson Brothers as an On-Premise Sales Consultant 23 years ago and has since held several leadership roles, including On-Premise District Manager, On-Premise Sales Manager, and Division Sales Manager. In 2015, Brian was promoted to Vice President of Sales and has been managing all Sales Divisions for Johnson Brothers of Iowa since that time.
